Jobophobia

Early in the morning
I shouted
The alarm-clock woke up
Took a shower
Shaved
Brushed its teeth
Put its clothes on
Had a cup of tea
With bread and butter
Watched the news
Polished its shoes
And went to work

Late in the evening
The alarm-clock returned
Had dinner
Drank coffee
Watched TV
And went to bed

Early in the morning
I yelled
The alarm-clock woke up
Took a pee
Took a shower
Brushed its teeth
Put its clothes on
And hurried to work

Late in the evening
The alarm-clock returned
Left the dinner unfinished
Lay on the bed
And drifted off

Early in the morning
I screamed
The alarm-clock woke up
Took a pee
Washed its face
Put its clothes on
And off to work it ran

Late in the evening
The alarm-clock returned
Walked in
Collapsed on the bed
And dozed off

Early in the morning
I screamed
I shouted
I yelled
I racketed I shrilled
The alarm-clock woke up
Peed in the sink
Washed with toilet water
Polished its teeth
Brushed its shoes
And rushed out to work

Late in the evening
The alarm-clock returned
Laid the bed on himself
And went out like a light

Early in the morning
I shrieked
And shouted
The alarm-clock woke up
Put its clothes on
Opened the door
And fell asleep
I grew hysterical
I hollered
The alarm-clock
Shot off

Late in the evening
The alarm-clock returned
Flaked out
In the bathtub

Early in the morning
Rant and Rave
Roar and more
The alarm-clock woke up
I lifted it in my arms
Helped use the restroom
Clothed it
And kicked it out
Get out to work

Late in the evening
The alarm-clocked returned
Toppled over
At the threshold

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
Without peeing
Without washing
Without clothing
Without awaking
The alarm-clock
Ran off to work

Late in the evening
The alarm-clock returned
Snoring

Early in the morning
Boy I screeched
And I squealed
And I yelled
And I yelped
Boy I bellowed
And I bawled
And I roared
I cleared my throat
Then I thundered
And boomed out
The alarm-clock wouldn’t wake up
Hysterical
Scream and shout
Sound and Fury
Cricket and racket
The alarm-clock stirred not a bit
Crush and squash
Brawl and scuffle
Nose and cheekbones
I smashed to smithereens
Sent a jab and knocked it out
Kicked it and trampled it down

The alarm-clock
Still
Immobile
Immotile

ROARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR it did

I suddenly woke up
Oh fuck
I’m running late again
Jump out of bed
Hurry to work
